Campbell finds out that his best friends Nell and Henry have kept their romantic relationship a secret from him for the last three months. His shock is further compounded when he finds out that his perfect-on-paper older brother Ben is marrying his own ex-girlfriend, Jane. Nell offers to support Henry to further his writing career, but then ends up quitting her job. Henry takes on a full-time position writing porn for the web. Campbell loses his music promoter's job when his band members end up in jail and rehab.

#2 The Next Big Thing: Aired Wednesday, March 18, 1998

Henry and his married boss, Charlotte, discover there is chemistry between them. Campbell and Henry come up with the great idea of producing children's videos about farm animals, but Campbell can't seem to find any way to raise the capital necessary to produce his first film. Everyone thing Ben and Jane's marriage is already on the rocks when they cut their honemoon short because of lousy weather. Nell works hard to get a fantastic job in publishing which turns out not to be so fantastic.

Henry starts up a full-fledged affair with Charlotte but can't figure out exactly what he's doing. Nell finds herself flirting with her father's best friend. Jane ends up being the only person supporting Campbell in his children's film idea. Ben starts a project of trying to create a racy new catalog for the family lingerie company.
